Solo Wild Camping In Jotunheimen

I finally got the chance to do a winter wild camp in april. The road across Sognefjellet opened the same day and I headed to Sognefjellhytta. I then hiked on skiis for abot 3 kilometers into the wilderness. I had planned to do a video from the trip too. The weather was quite friendly, warm and there was little or no wind. The skies looked very promising for shooting som sunset og sunrise landscape photography. I pitched the tent and had some time to test out my new drone. It really takes some time and practising to use all the different equipment at the same time in this kind of hike….Im quite newbie on both the action camera and drone.

The light got better and better and I had a amazing sunset. I shot loads of photos, both with and without foreground. The 100- 400 lense was great to pick out mountains and details in the distant.

After the light was gone it got cold very fast. It was -14 in the night but it was nice and warm in the the sleeping bag. I had some sleep and was ready early the next morning for the sunrise. Well, it didnt happen the way I hoped for. The combination of light and clouds didnt work out.

It was a great trip overall though and I’m already looking forward to the next hike

Check out the 42 minutes long video from the trip on youtube too :)
