Wild camping in Rondane, some problems on the way, but get a great sunrise and fog inversion

In late september I went to catch the autumn colours in Rondane National Park. I went to an area I wasnt very familier with and ran into some problems with wet areas, some rivers and streams. I actually didnt find a way to cross and managed to get soaked shoes, before deciding to get into the water to reach the location for the wild camp. Well a mix of special conditions, poor planning and removed bridges.

You can watch a film from the hike at the bottom of this page

Well I reached the campsite just in time for the last light before pitching the tent and making some food. It was quite cold so I got to bed quite early. I checked the nightsky a few times and got this aurora shot.

In the early morning the condition looked a bit boring at first. Few clouds and it didnt really kick off

But then the fog inversion further down in the valley made its way and made for some really moody condtions

On the way back I ran into the same problems again. The river was way deeper than it looked and it was and I barely managed to cross it. See video for the details ;)

On the drive home I got a few photos. This first is from Grimsdalen. And the second one is from Venabygdfjellet

And here is the film from that trip. Remember to give it a thumb up and concider subscribing if you like it :)
