Winter is not over yet

The winter is almost over in most places, but I was lucky to have two days with great winter conditions in Rondane last week. The first day was a bit grim with flat light. Did some scouting by a local and frozen river. Some nice scenery but it lacked some fresh and white snow. Anyway here are a couple of shots from the first day.

It snowed in the evening and the weather forecast said about 10 cm during the night. So i expected great conditions the next day.

A snowy tree scene

I was in bed at 12.30 am up again at 4.30 am. I headed towards a well known waterfall. In the beginning it was pitch dark and I got use of my headtorch. This changed fast for some great blue hour scenes. The foggy valley below and the moon made for some really moody landscapes.

The cloudy skies started to lit up with beautiful colours about 5.15. I did struggle to find great compositionsa and tried to shoot both wide angle and minimalistic compositions. The clouds, fog and colours made it quite easy too get some nice photos though.

Smiubelgin. Fantastic glow from the morning sun

During daytime it was all blue skies so here is a BW photo from that

The next day I chose to do some shooting during golden hour and sunset. The condition were not that great as the previous morning, but I got some nice photos.
