Winter nights in Rondane
I recently spent two great days in Rondane. The weather and conditions varied and made for some great light.
Here are some photos from that first day. I had a special part of Rondane in mind and went to a peak named Formokampen to shoot towards eastern parts of the mountains. On the hike up to the peak, the light changed for that smooth golden hour light. It continued for sunset, but it was during blue hour that the magic happened. And due to the clear skies it got really cold on the way back. to the cabin. Some of the photos are to the west and Jotunheimen
But first off a photo from the second day. The reason is that this single image was posted on my Instagram and resulted in some strange mayhem of like. 11 000…
The morning after I did look outside at sunrise, but decided to stay in bed as it was 25 degrees below zero. The light was great and I hoped for something simular in the evening. The low clouds made for great light and shadow even in the middle of the day. And during golden hour and sunset there was a dramatic array of light and tones. Those contrasty pastel tones way after sunset was something I `ve never seen as nice ever before.
